“The beautiful spring came; and when nature resumes her loveliness, the human soul is apt to revive also.” — Harriet Ann Jacobs
There is something about this time of year that feels like a quiet exhale.
Even before we fully name it, we can feel the shift. The light changes. The air softens. Things begin to bloom again. And with all of that, something in us begins to stir too. Spring has a way of reminding us that renewal is natural. Life moves in seasons, and no season lasts forever.
I love this quote because it speaks to something so true and so human. When nature begins to return to herself, we often do too. After periods of heaviness, routine, uncertainty, or simply moving through life on autopilot, there can come a moment when we feel a little more open again. A little more hopeful. A little more ready. Not because everything around us is suddenly perfect, but because something inside us is remembering its own aliveness.
New beginnings do not always arrive in dramatic ways. Sometimes they show up as a softened heart, a clearer thought, a burst of inspiration, or the simple willingness to begin again.
This season can be a beautiful reminder that we are allowed to bloom in our own timing. We are allowed to come back to ourselves slowly. We are allowed to revive, reset, and reimagine what is possible next. Just as nature does not question whether it is time to grow, maybe we can trust the quiet signs within ourselves that are asking for a little more life, beauty, joy, and expression.
As artists, creatives, and people who care deeply about beauty, this feels especially meaningful. There is something sacred in allowing ourselves to be moved by the world around us, and then letting that movement become something we share. A creation. A kindness. A fresh idea. A new way of seeing. Beauty has a way of waking people up, and spring reminds us just how much the soul needs that.
Happy Monday!
