"Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes."― Carl Jung
We spend so much of our lives looking outside ourselves for direction. We search for signs, advice, reassurance, and proof that we are making the right choices. We often compare our lives to what other people are doing, hoping that somewhere out there we will find the answer to what comes next.
There is nothing wrong with dreaming or being inspired by the world around us. Dreams often begin with something we see outside ourselves: a possibility, a beautiful idea, or a life that shows us what might be possible. But eventually, we have to bring that dream inward and ask what it means for us.
Looking within requires a different kind of courage. It asks us to quiet the outside noise long enough to hear our own inner wisdom and what lies within our hearts. What do we truly want? What feels meaningful? What makes us feel alive? And perhaps most importantly, what do we already know deep down but have been afraid to admit?
This is also where creativity begins. Inspiration may come from the colors of the sea, the shape of a gemstone, the work of another artist, or the beauty of an ordinary moment, but creating something authentic requires us to filter that inspiration through our own experiences, imagination, and way of seeing the world. The magic is not simply in what we observe. It is in what awakens inside us because of it.
Clarity does not always arrive neatly packaged in a box. Sometimes it begins as a quiet feeling, a persistent idea, or a small inner knowing that keeps asking for our attention. When we trust it enough to follow it, even one step at a time, the path often becomes clearer as we go.
Awakening is simply the moment we stop waiting for the outside world to tell us who we are and begin listening to the wisdom that has been within us all along.
