Monday Morning Inspiration, April 27

"When despair for the world grows in me… I come into the peace of wild things."— Wendell Berry

There are times when the world feels too loud, too fast, too uncertain, too full of things we cannot fix in a single day, no matter how much we care, worry, plan, or try.

And in those moments, nature has a way of reminding us of something deeper. The sea keeps moving, the trees keep reaching, the flowers bloom without asking whether the world is ready for their beauty. The birds sing, the clouds shift, the light changes, and life continues in its wild, mysterious rhythm.

When the weight of the world feels heavy, we do not always find peace by thinking harder. Sometimes we find it by returning to what is real and alive. By stepping outside, by noticing the breeze, by watching the water, by remembering that we are part of something larger than the noise of the moment. Creativity works in much the same way.

There is a wildness to creativity, beauty, and imagination. It cannot be controlled or scheduled. It does not always arrive neatly, on command, or in the way we expected. Like nature, creativity has its own seasons. It blooms, rests, tangles, surprises, and grows in unexpected directions.

As artists, makers, and beauty-seekers, part of our work is to stay connected to that wildness. To keep noticing, to keep imagining, to keep creating small moments of beauty, even when the world feels complicated. Not because beauty erases difficulty, but because it helps us remember what is still good, sacred, and alive.

So today, and this week, may we each find a little peace in the wild things, in nature, in beauty, in imagination, in the parts of ourselves that are still curious, still tender, still willing to be astonished. And may we remember that creating beauty is not a small thing; it is one of the ways we stay connected to life.

Happy Monday!
