"Once she stopped rushing through life, she was amazed how much more life she had time for." - Unknown
I have a coaster on my coffee table with this quote, and many others that remind me that life is about more than just "busy-ness". Another of my "Lessons Learned Living on an Island" is about slowing down. This is probably one of the more important ones for someone like me, who still moves like I am living in the northeast, despite not actually having lived in the northeast for decades now.
Taking time to slow down not only allows us to enjoy the magic of life's simple moments, but also makes that time seem to grow and expand. I'm definitely on board with more time for living in the moment. Rushing tends to shrink time, I'd rather have more of it.
I hope this holiday Monday finds you with some time to slow down and enjoy life!
Happy Monday!
