"When you buy from a small business, an actual person does a little happy dance!"

I’ve always loved this quote - and not just because I am a small business owner AND a dancer! 

It’s absolutely true. When I sell a piece of jewelry that I have created with my own hands and curated with my own inspired vision, to a person who truly loves it - well, there are few things I love more in this world. Sharing my art with the people who enjoy it feels a bit like sending little bits of magic and positivity out into the world. I hope that you feel the same when you wear a piece that I have created for you!

I still get excited every time someone puts on a piece of jewelry I have made and gets “that look”. The look that expresses a feeling of pure delight. I still get that feeling when I put on my favorite piece of jewelry - a piece that has a story, and a moment, that belongs solely to that piece, and lives on in my heart. I’ve watched husbands and partners reach for the credit cards because they see the light in the eyes of the person they love - and they want to prolong that moment of joy.

I couldn’t imagine doing anything other than what I do for a living. I am blessed to be able to create beautiful and meaningful pieces, for customers who get almost as excited about my work as I do. My mission is to create more than jewelry, but to capture memories, feelings and stories through my work. Being a small business owner is a huge part of who I am and I aim to always be able to infuse personal connection into all of my business interactions. 

Life moves fast. Island life reminds me everyday to slow down (even when I don’t want to). I choose to live in paradise because I believe in a different way of life than the rat race of other locales. I believe in the goodness of people and I get to experience that everyday that I allow myself to be open to it. 

I BELIEVE:

Thanksgiving should be about gratitude and appreciation (and spent with those we love). 

Black Friday should be spent at the beach (Island Girls do BLUE Friday!) or sleeping off your tryptophan hangover. 

Small Business Saturday is a day to celebrate the hardworking small business owners who are trying to give their families, and themselves, a better life through hard work and dedication to their passion and their customers.
