"There are always flowers for those who want to see them." — Henri Matisse
Some days, beauty is loud, obvious, everywhere. The Caribbean sky is dramatically stunning, and the sea throws diamonds of light. Other days, it whispers. This quote reminds us that the flowers are still there, the beauty is still there, even when life feels busy or gray. Even when we can't see it. The practice isn’t to force anything to bloom; it’s to notice what’s already blooming.
When we train our attention toward goodness and gratitude, two things happen: we feel steadier, and we naturally offer more beauty and kindness to others. It’s a gentle loop, see beauty, feel beauty, share beauty.
In the studio, I think of my work like this. Jewelry won’t change the world, but the person wearing it might. When you carry a wearable reminder of beauty and inspiration, you’re more likely to see it everywhere and radiate the same.
Happy Monday!
